Community flexes physical and spiritual muscle

University of Texas junior, Yang Zhou, has never even touched a mop much less used one.

 ”It’s a learning experience,” he said. “Hopefully, it goes well.”

Zhou and UT senior, Amanda Torcynski, are co-chairs of a volunteer organization called UT HOPE. The organization provides health, outreach, promotion and education to those in need.

In fact, that’s what brought them to Yolanda Vasquez’s house on one Saturday morning. They were working a mop, toilet brush and sponges around her home.
