Austin group helps woman survive breast cancer on KEYE

No woman wants to hear those dreaded four words — “You have breast cancer.”

But it’s a diagnosis that 1 in 8 women will hear at some point in her life. It’s the most common form of cancer in women.

What happens after your diagnosis can literally make a life of death difference. That’s why finding it early and getting treatment is critical.

Here in Central Texas, a group of survivors joined forces almost 15 years ago to form the Breast Cancer Resource Center. It’s a lifeline for women who find themselves dealing with a frightening and potentially deadly disease.
