Pink Ribbon Cowgirls

A social network of younger breast cancer survivors.
Pink Ribbon Cowgirls is a group of younger breast cancer survivors organized under the BCRC. They are committed to helping young women diagnosed with breast cancer not just survive, but thrive. The Pink Ribbon Cowgirls host North, Central and South luncheons, kid-friendly meetings, and speaker meetings that cover everything from nutrition to fitness, fertility, career and dating issues. Plus, their extended “network of sisters” also connects with social gatherings, a networking Website, even girls’ night out.
“I dragged my husband to an event. He later told me this was good for him. He said that he and the other “breast cancer husband” talked and shared much more with us women present than they would have said to each other in a group of only men. It not only helped me to know I wasn’t alone, but it helped my husband to find another spouse with the same fears and anxiety he had.”
The Pink Ribbon Cowgirls are growing to meet the needs of young women in Central Texas. They welcome you and your ideas as they grow.
“Talking to other young women who have had to deal with breast cancer was a tremendous comfort.”

“I love it that someone can post a question on the message board about treatment options or local physician and the others weigh in with their opinions and experiences. It’s like having an extended network of sisters.”
