Tour De Ted - Ride the Lone Star
"Edward Jones is celebrating the life of its second managing partner, Ted Jones, and his vision of serving clients in local communities by hosting a nine-city bike tour in Texas."
The second annual Edward Jones' Tour de Ted ride has come to Texas, and the Austin ride has chosen The Breast Cancer Resource Centers of Texas to be their official charity!
The nine-city cycling event will reach Austin on Sunday, October 12th. The ride starts and finishes at the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park! With more than 1,000 offices, Texas has the greatest number of Edward Jones branch teams! Together the Austin branches hope to raise $100,000 for the BCRC and further strengthen our vision in ensuring no one in Central Texas faces breast cancer alone!
Edward Jones will be hosting exciting and family-fun activities throughout the day and a special finale celebration to honor and recognize all of the achievements of their riders, donors and volunteers! Activities will include a Bike Safety Rodeo, petting zoo and rope making at the Show Barn, a live band performace, and tours of the Texas White House!
All children are welcome to participate in the Bike Safety Rodeo, where they can learn about smart cycling systems and proper hand signals, get their helmet-fit checked, and ride the bike obstacle course! Children need to have a bike and helmet to participate and must be accompanied by a parent.
