A PISSARRO ORIGINAL
When your Great-Grandfather was a famous Impressionist Painter,
it’s hard not to follow in the family tradition, but artist Lelia Pissarro’s
perspective changed after she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and
now her style is all her own
She promised herself if she survived, she would explore a new style.
Lelia’s work ranges from Impressionist landscapes to a more abstract style.
Her cancer treatment caused her to lose the use of her right arm, and she
stopped painting for 18 months. When she regained some of her strength,
she painted a series of 40 snowy landscapes of a house in her grandparents’
village one of which will be raffled to benefit the BCRC.
