As empowering as it is emotional, BCRC’s Annual Champagne Brunch has served as a galvanizing kick off to Breast Cancer Awareness Month since 1995. Last year, Stephen Moser of The Austin Chronicle recognized the event as one of the “Top Nine Charity Fundraisers of 2009,” mentioned the silent auction was “hands down, the best silent auction in town.”  This year’s auction promises to be even better!

On September 26, 2010 the tradition continues with the 15^th Annual Champagne Brunch & Auction which will be held at the Renaissance Hotel. This year’s special guests includes:

Sarah Weddington, Key Note Speaker

Lawyer, teacher, author, public speaker and breast cancer survivor

Special guest appearance by Shannon Sedwick of “Esther’s Follies”

Christy Pipkin, Honorary Chair

Humanitarian, activist, Executive Director of The Nobelity Project & two-time breast cancer survivor

Sarah Lisle, BCRC Client Testimonial Speaker

Two-time breast cancer survivor, Pink Ribbon Cowgirl and GRAPHIC model

Music during the silent auction will be provided by Tahni Handal, including her song, “Stonger Again,” written to raise awareness about cancer

In addition to these guest speakers and an exciting auction, the 15^th Annual Champagne Brunch will feature a Special Remembrance Ceremony to honor the memory of the many brave women we have lost to breast cancer since October, 2009.
