About Ray Anne
Ray Anne is a 14 year breast cancer survivor and has been an employee of the BCRC since January 2, 2004. Since that time she has navigated over 2500 women and caregivers from breast cancer diagnosis, survivorship and beyond. She’s facilitated many support groups and continues to be the point of contact for the IV League and the IV League Williamson County as well as the facilitator for the South Austin Support Group and the Newly Diagnosed groups. As the Director of Client Services, her main responsibilities include managing the Client Services Team that consists of 6 Certified Patient Navigators and the Intake Coordinator. Ray Anne is currently determining new and better ways to support women with breast cancer and their families. Ray Anne is a Certified Patient Navigator through the Freeman Institute and has attended Cancer Guides training through the Center for Mind Body Medicine. In addition, she is a member of the Academy of Oncology Nurse Navigators as an advocate and has attended the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium multiple times. She also attends tumor conferences at St. David’s Medical Center. She has attended seminars on Palliative and Hospice Care, Dying and Grieving: Cultural and Ethical Considerations, Spirituality and End of Life Issues, Challenges and Access to Health Care, Ethics and End of Life Communication, Pre-Hospice to Hospice: The Transition Spiritual Perspectives on Death, Dying and Grief, Strength-based Framework of Grief and Nipple Sparing Mastectomies. She is a Project LEAD graduate, an intense workshop that teaches the science of breast cancer to enable advocates to sit on research review panels.
