About Carol

Carol has a BBA in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin and worked in public accounting for 25 years before retiring. After being diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ in September, 1999 following a routine screening mammogram, she had a mastectomy with tram flap reconstruction and then took Tamoxifen for four years. In 2000 she started volunteering at BCRC and was asked to join the Board of Directors the following year. She served several years as Treasurer and one year as President of the Board, then was asked to join the staff as Business Manager in 2004 and continues to enjoy working with the amazingly talented and dedicated group of women at BCRC.
